heads-up with Elkan Allan for the inaugural (and only) Avery Cardoza Challenge Cup. At one point he had about five-sixths of the chips in play but didn't push his advantage unless he had a good hand. At about three in the morning, I remember standing up and yelling, 'Gamble! For God's sake, gamble!' An hour later, somehow the chips had all come my way.
